The focus of my artistic research is on how media/technology shapes our political understanding of the world we live in. This focus on the social impact of technology on our reality is a recurring theme in my work.

I'm a media artist and had practical and theoretical training in Visual Arts, Cultural Studies, Information Science, Performance and SoundDesign. In 2000 I started experimenting with video and sound editing at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts (HISK). The period ended with a residency at Cité des Arts, Paris. In 2008 I made the film Surface which was screened in competition at FIDMarseille. After that I made 7 more essay films (including about the world of finance/markets) with a focus on media criticism. The films were supported by VAF (Filmlab), labeled as hybrid film and/or Expanded Cinema and screened at various film festivals and in art institutions such as BOZAR, LE BAL and WIELS. As a studio artist, my work expanded from film editing and sound editing to 3D modeling, game engines and coding languages.

My creative practice revolves around designing landscapes that are more than just mere digital spaces - they are machines that are fueled by a combination of systematic planning and intuitive exploration. At the core of my work lies an unyielding curiosity about the human experience and our constant search for self-discovery. Rather than simply probing the depths of an individual's psyche, as was done in the past through psychoanalysis, my practice encourages us to turn our gaze outward towards the world around us, embracing the materiality of our past, present, and future.
